Welcome to the International Maritime Medical Association (IMMA)
maritime health issues”
IMMA is a not for profit trade organization, founded in response to a global need for a central focal point for the maritime industry to get answers to medical or health-related issues.
- To represent the interests of the maritime medical sector at the highest governmental and non-governmental levels to ensure its voice is heard and the actions of its stakeholders understood when vital decisions concerning the regulation and operation of the sector are being formulated.
- To eliminate all the duplication shipowners/managers and P&I Clubs perform when certifying PEME facilities, medical providers and ancillary medical services.
- To provide a new platform for suppliers of medical equipment and pharmaceutical products to ships using IMMA’s new medical stores App – a safe and secure way of identifying and ordering exactly the right product in the correct quantity
- To offer the maritime industry a developing range of services designed to make life easier and business more efficient whilst enhancing the customer experience
Originally formed in 2009, IMMA has a core Foundation Membership whose advice and input has been invaluable in the development of the Association.
Headquartered at The Baltic Exchange, the centre of world shipping, in London a small, dedicated administrative team runs the Association for members and stakeholders in the maritime medical industry alike.
If you would like to join IMMA and expand your maritime medical business interests globally then please visit the “Why Join IMMA?” Page. You would be most warmly welcomed.
